Partner Program Terms & Conditions

Version 1.0  ·  Effective June 21, 2026 ·  Easy Tax Academy, 2123 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304

Partners earn commissions only when a student successfully purchases an Easy Tax Academy course.

Easy Tax Academy does not guarantee earnings, employment, certification outcomes, or tax preparation income.

The Partner Program is not a franchise, investment opportunity, MLM, or employment relationship.

1. Partner Eligibility

  • The Easy Tax Academy Ambassador Program is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age, reside in the United States, and submit a complete and accurate application.
  • Applicants must have a legitimate audience, community, or professional network through which they intend to promote Easy Tax Academy courses.
  • Easy Tax Academy reserves the right to approve or deny any application at its sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason for denial.
  • Current employees of Easy Tax Academy are not eligible to participate in the Ambassador Program.
  • Immediate family members of Easy Tax Academy employees may participate but are subject to additional review.
  • Partners must maintain their eligibility continuously. Changes in circumstances that affect eligibility must be disclosed to Easy Tax Academy promptly.

2. Commission Structure

  • Approved Partners earn commissions on verified, completed paid student enrollments referred through their unique referral link.
  • Level 1 (Direct Referral): 20% of the net sale amount when a student you directly referred completes a paid enrollment.
  • Level 2 (Second-Generation Referral): 5% of the net sale amount when an ambassador you recruited refers a student who completes a paid enrollment.
  • Level 3 (Third-Generation Referral): 2% of the net sale amount when an ambassador recruited by your Level 2 ambassador refers a student who completes a paid enrollment.
  • Commission rates are calculated on the actual net amount paid by the student, after any discounts, coupons, or promotional codes applied at checkout.
  • Multi-level commissions are only generated when all ambassadors in the referral chain are in approved and active standing. A suspended or denied ambassador breaks the commission chain.
  • Easy Tax Academy reserves the right to modify commission rates at any time with 30 days advance written notice to active partners.
  • IMPORTANT: Partners earn commissions only when a student successfully purchases an Easy Tax Academy course.

3. Commission Approval Process

  • All commissions begin in "Pending" status immediately upon a qualifying sale and are subject to a mandatory 14-day hold period.
  • After the 14-day hold period, the Easy Tax Academy administrative team reviews each commission for validity.
  • Commissions will be approved only if the associated sale has not been refunded, reversed, or disputed within the hold period.
  • Commissions associated with fraudulent referrals, self-referrals, or terms violations will be voided without payment.
  • Approved commissions are queued for inclusion in the next monthly payout cycle.
  • Easy Tax Academy has sole discretion in approving or denying any commission and may delay approval pending investigation of suspicious activity.

4. 14-Day Hold Policy

  • All commissions are subject to a mandatory 14-day hold from the date of the associated student enrollment.
  • The hold period exists to align with Easy Tax Academy's refund window and to protect against chargebacks and payment disputes.
  • No commission may be paid out during the hold period, regardless of circumstances.
  • If a refund or chargeback is initiated during the hold period, the associated commission is automatically voided.
  • If a refund or chargeback occurs after commission approval but before payout, the commission will be reversed and deducted from future payouts.
  • Easy Tax Academy may extend the hold period on individual commissions if an investigation is in progress.

5. Refund & Chargeback Policy

  • If a student who was referred by a partner requests and receives a refund within the applicable refund window, the commission associated with that enrollment will be automatically voided.
  • If a student initiates a chargeback with their bank or credit card company, the associated commission will be voided and the partner may be subject to a review.
  • If a commission has already been paid and the associated enrollment is subsequently refunded or charged back, Easy Tax Academy reserves the right to deduct the commission amount from future payouts.
  • Repeated instances of refunds or chargebacks from a partner's referrals may result in a review of the partner's account and potential suspension.
  • Partners must not encourage students to request refunds in a manner designed to manipulate the commission system. Such activity constitutes fraud and grounds for immediate termination.

6. Marketing Guidelines

  • Partners are permitted to promote Easy Tax Academy using truthful, accurate information about the courses and their content.
  • Partners must always disclose their relationship with Easy Tax Academy when promoting courses in accordance with FTC guidelines. A clear statement such as "I am an Easy Tax Academy affiliate and earn a commission if you enroll using my link" is required.
  • Partners may use the Easy Tax Academy name and approved marketing materials provided through the partner portal.
  • Partners may NOT create their own Easy Tax Academy branding, logos, or official-looking materials without prior written approval.
  • Partners who run paid advertising must not bid on the "Easy Tax Academy" brand keyword, must not make income guarantees in ad copy, and must comply with the advertising platform's policies.
  • Partners who use email marketing must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and applicable anti-spam laws, including providing a clear unsubscribe option.
  • Partners must not spam, send unsolicited bulk messages, or use deceptive subject lines or messaging to promote their referral link.
  • Partners must not use countdown timers, false urgency, or fake scarcity in their promotional materials.

7. Prohibited Activities

  • Self-referrals: Partners may not refer themselves, their immediate family members, or entities they control in order to earn commissions on their own purchases.
  • Cookie stuffing or forced clicks: Partners may not artificially inflate clicks or use technical methods to attribute sales that were not generated through legitimate referral activity.
  • False or misleading claims: Partners may not make false statements about Easy Tax Academy courses, outcomes, income potential, or the ambassador program.
  • Income or job guarantees: Partners may not guarantee that students will earn any specific amount of income, find employment, or obtain certification as a result of completing Easy Tax Academy courses.
  • Unauthorized use of brand assets: Partners may not reproduce the Easy Tax Academy logo, name, or branding in a manner that suggests official endorsement beyond the scope of the ambassador program.
  • Pyramid or MLM recruitment: Partners may not market the ambassador program itself as a primary income source or recruit others by emphasizing recruitment-based earnings rather than student enrollments.
  • Unauthorized software or tools: Partners may not use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to generate clicks, leads, or referrals.
  • Violation of platform terms: Partners may not violate the terms of service of any social media platform, email service, or advertising network while promoting Easy Tax Academy.
  • Misrepresentation of affiliation: Partners may not imply that they are employees, representatives, or official spokespersons of Easy Tax Academy.

8. Suspension & Termination

  • Easy Tax Academy may suspend or terminate a partner's participation in the Ambassador Program at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
  • Grounds for immediate termination include: fraud, misrepresentation, violation of these Terms, prohibited marketing activities, self-referral, and conduct that Easy Tax Academy determines to be harmful to its reputation or interests.
  • Suspended partners will have their referral link deactivated immediately and no new commissions will be generated during the suspension period.
  • Terminated partners forfeit any pending commissions that have not yet been approved. Approved commissions earned prior to termination will be paid out on the normal schedule unless termination was due to fraud.
  • Partners may request reinstatement in writing to info@easytaxacademy.com. Reinstatement is at Easy Tax Academy's sole discretion.
  • Partners who terminate their own participation may do so by contacting info@easytaxacademy.com. Approved commissions earned prior to voluntary termination will be paid out normally.

9. Payout Policy

  • Commissions are paid on a monthly cycle, typically within the first 10 business days of each calendar month for all commissions approved in the prior month.
  • The minimum payout threshold is $25.00 USD. If a partner's approved commission balance is below this threshold, payment will be deferred to the following month.
  • Available payout methods: PayPal, Zelle, ACH bank transfer (U.S. bank accounts only), and check. Partners must select and configure their payout method in their partner dashboard.
  • Easy Tax Academy is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors, bank processing times, or incorrect payment information provided by the partner.
  • If a partner provides incorrect payment information resulting in a failed payment, any fees associated with the failed payment attempt may be deducted from the partner's commission balance.
  • Partners are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes on commission income. Easy Tax Academy will issue a Form 1099-NEC to partners who receive $600 or more in commission income in a calendar year, as required by U.S. tax law.
  • Partners may be required to provide a completed W-9 form before commissions are paid.

10. Independent Contractor Disclaimer

  • Partners are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners in the legal sense, or joint venturers of Easy Tax Academy.
  • The Partner Program is not a franchise, investment opportunity, business opportunity, multi-level marketing company, or employment relationship.
  • Easy Tax Academy does not guarantee earnings, employment, certification outcomes, or tax preparation income.
  • Partners are not entitled to any employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement benefits, workers' compensation, or unemployment insurance.
  • Partners are responsible for their own business expenses, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Partners have no authority to bind Easy Tax Academy, enter into contracts on its behalf, or make representations about Easy Tax Academy beyond their approved marketing materials.
  • Easy Tax Academy makes no guarantee of exclusivity. Multiple partners may operate in the same geographic area or target the same audience.
  • Easy Tax Academy is not responsible for any losses, damages, or claims arising from a partner's participation in the Ambassador Program.

11. General Terms

  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Partner and Easy Tax Academy with respect to the Ambassador Program and supersede all prior agreements.
  • Easy Tax Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Ambassador Program after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
